How to Order
Customize your plant experience by telling us what varieties you would like personally cared for just for you! Pickup time in May! As a small home-nursery, we only have limited numbers of each variety, so be sure to reserve yours before they are sold out!
To reserve your plants follow these directions:
Step 1: Look over the special varieties of heirloom plants we have available
Step 2: Send an email to TheFloweringFerns@gmail.com and include the following information...
1.A name
2. phone number (Only for time sensitive plant issues with your order -- we will never call you with advertisements or sell your information)
3. The letter/name of which plants (and how many)* you would like reserved for you
4. The pickup date and location for your plants from the list of dates and locations( After you email us, we will email you back with a confirmation -- remember that there are limited numbers of each variety, so at this stage keep an eye out for a reply from us to make sure we have the ones you would like -- we may email you to suggest comparable substitutions should we already be ‘sold’ out of some of the varieties and may need a response from you For this year, reservations are a small down payment of $5.00 which gets rolled into your purchase towards your plants (this is to tell us you are serious and will be picking up your plants! As a small business it is just a precaution we must take), and then you will pay your remaining balance upon pickup via cash (preferred), Zelle, Venmo, or chip card.
Step 3: After you receive a confirmation from us, you will be prompted to pay your downpayment fee of $5.00** for your order through either Zelle, Venmo, or mailed paper check postmarked 3 days after you get the confirmation from us (for check, reservations are only complete once the check clears)***
Step 4: come to your chosen pickup date to get your little plant cuties for your lovely garden!

Sunday, May 25 from 11am - 4pm at Indie Green Market, at Bexley Park, 1630 Wrenford Road, South Euclid, Ohio 44121
We will also be at Kamm’s Corner Farmer Markets for general sales (no pre-order) on June 15 and 22, July 6, 13, and 20 from 10-1
Notes: * (limit is 2 plants per variety for up to 10 varieties for reservations -- if at pickup you see general sale plants you are welcome to add more to your purchase of course!) **The $5.00 fee is non-refundable should you not pickup your plants as a restocking fee. All sales upon pickup are final ***Paper checks are to be made out to Rachel Rickel (Owner) and mailed to 1450 Lincoln Ave, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 and only for pre-order downpayment.. Cash is accepted at general sales as are all the electronic versions such as venmo, zelle, and sqaure. But checks are not accepted at in-person general sales nor are checks accepted at general pick-up.
Plants and nature have always been an important love in my life – a passion that just naturally translates into wanting to share that with others. Plants bring peace, joy, and just as the mythical flowering fern is said to bring luck to those who find it, hopefully our plants and garden products can bring a little joy and luck to others as well. Plants have simply always been a part of the fabric of life – filling our bellies with delicious food and beautifying our homes. Here at the Flowering Fern, a small family-run business, we hope to be able to give people the chance to enjoy their own fresh food with seasonal vegetable, flower, and herb seedlings, and lovely and easy to care for greenery and items for indoors throughout the rest of the year as well.
